14. The Six Shooter & Other Stories

Listen to These Programs:  Hollywood Star Theater: The Six Shooter   ~   Gunsmoke: Poor Pearl   ~   Hollywood Star Theater:  Calculated Risk   ~   Ozzie & Harriet: Too Much Change

The Six Shooter was created by Frank Burt, who also penned many of the scripts. While the series only lasted only one season, it was was one of Old Time Radio's last, valiant efforts to keep folks interested in radio dramas.  It did this by featuring a major Hollywood star in the lead role: Jimmy Stewart.

The Six Shooter was first introduced on an episode of Hollywood Star Theater,  which you will listen to in here.  NBC introduced the weekly series the following year.
